The Afternoon Cruise

Silver Moon’s afternoon cruise is four and a half hours of Barbados at its most generous — turtle encounters, a proper Bajan dinner on deck, an open bar, and a sunset you won’t forget. With just twelve guests aboard, it’s intimate by design.

Your Afternoon on the Water

Your afternoon begins at the Shallow Draught in Bridgetown, where our crew welcomes you aboard with a cold drink in hand. The bar is open and it stays that way. We set sail along the sheltered coastline as the day begins to soften.

In the softer afternoon light the whole island slows down. You’ll swim with hawksbill sea turtles before drifting over a coral reef or shipwreck alive with tropical fish. Your expert crew is in the water with you, charming the turtles and helping first-timers explore the sea.

Dinner on Deck

Back on deck, dinner is being prepared while the skies turn golden and the water turns a deeper blue. You will enjoy a full family-style Bajan dinner — think seasoned chicken, rice and peas, macaroni pie, garden salad, and fish grilled right there on the catamaran. The menu varies with the season and what’s freshest. It’s authentic Barbadian cooking, the kind you’d find at a family table on the island.

The bar is fully stocked, our famous rum punch (made with Barbados’ own Mount Gay rum), classic cocktails, chilled wine, local beer, and soft drinks flow freely.

The Sunset

As the sun descends the golden hour takes hold. That special moment that photographs beautifully but still feels even better in person. Take in the warm breeze, the gentle sway of the catamaran, the cold drink in your palm - the small things you can’t capture on film - as the sun slips below the horizon.

Perfect for Special Occasions

Many of our guests book the afternoon cruise for a later start to the day. But it’s also a special way to mark an anniversary, birthday, or honeymoon if you’ve mostly been enjoying the beach in the mornings. The intimate setting and that particular Caribbean golden hour make it feel inherently celebratory — even if the only occasion is being in Barbados.
